Lusotitan
Lusotitan was a large sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic Period, approximately 152–145 million years ago. It was discovered in Portugal, with fossils found in the Sobral Formation of the Lusitanian Basin.

Lusotitan belonged to the group Titanosauriformes, a lineage that includes the later giant titanosaurs of the Cretaceous. It had the typical sauropod body shape, with a long neck, long tail, small head, and four massive column-like legs that supported its enormous body.

As a herbivore, Lusotitan likely fed on a variety of vegetation, including leaves from tall trees, using its long neck to reach food sources that were otherwise difficult to access. Its size would have provided protection from predators, although it may have faced threats from large theropods such as Torvosaurus, which lived in the same region.

Lusotitan is estimated to have reached around 20–25 meters (65–82 feet) in length and weighed several tonnes. Although known from incomplete remains, it represents the impressive diversity of giant sauropods that lived in Late Jurassic Europe.
